Attendance
A student athlete must clear any absence from any class in order to practice. An athlelte may not miss any part of the school day and then compete in a game or match on that same day unless the absence has been prearranged and approved by the Athletic Director or the Administrative Vice Principal.
Awards
To receive an award at the completion of a sport's season, an athlete must be in good standing academically and have paid his/her sports fee. To receive an athletic letter, the student must meet the criteria determined by the head coach.

Qualifications for Participation on a CHS Athletics Team
To qualify for participation on a Cleveland High School (CHS) athletics team, an individual must:
	Live in the Portland Public School District (PPSD)
	Reside within the attendance boundaries of CHS or, according to PPSD guidelines, be accepted as a transfer student to CHS
	Have passed five subjects the previous semester (only one of which may be earned during the summer or in a private alternative program)
	Pass five subjects within each grading period during the season his/her sport competes (only one of which may be earned in a private alternative program)
	Adhere to attendance requirements
